woman on bridge wearing reclamation design company lace gown

Before I left Vancouver Island to move my little family back to the UK I discovered Reclamation Design Company’s dresses. To my delight they were also based on the same Island as me!

As I was busy planning lots of shoots before I left, I knew I couldn’t pass up the chance to hire a rental dress and make some magic, my deadline was pretty tight as I had a maternity shoot coming up that I knew would be extra awesome if we could use the dress in.

Trista the owner of the company didn’t have any rentals left but set me up last minute with a sample she was going to be selling.

I ended up using it for a handful of photoshoots as I was working a lot to make the most of the island scenery before we left (can you tell I’m one of those people who finishes assignments the night before they are due?!) I seem to get so stressed but work the best under pressure, a blessing and a curse! We also managed to squeeze in using the dress for our own family photos on our beach – Little River.

“Anna also brought the most beautiful dress I have ever seen, let alone having the pleasure of wearing!! I couldn’t be more pleased with our results and I would definitely be working with her again if she hadn’t moved across the world from me!!”

Rent these dresses

Reclamation dresses are iconic in the US and Canada and I wanted to bring this magic over to the UK with me. Photographers can’t get enough of them, just search the hashtag #reclamationdesigncompany and see what can be done with these gorgeous dresses.

These dresses are one of a kind due to the nature of the lace and being delicate vintage lace each dress are only available to rent for a limited amount of time. Their gorgeous boho vibe will leave you with an ethereal shoot that just will not go unnoticed. Perfect for a styled shoot or maternity Mama’s special photo moment.

These dresses are known as travelling dresses as they are sent from one hire to another, hence the name Wild Rover (go listen to the Dubliners), in keeping with my Irish roots, love of a little tipple and my nomadic heart.

Stay Tuned for new photographs of my dresses.

Get in touch to rent one of our two dresses while you can!
